Welcome to the Madison River Angler’s Rest and Retreat
at 33 Last Best Place Ennis, Montana
Here are some reminders to make your stay is a pleasant one and to help keep all our guests rental fees down.
TV OPERATION- Use Vizio remote to turn OFF/ON. Use ROKU remote to select streaming programing and channel. PLEASE DO NOT change account number of our system. Doing so makes it most inconvenient for the owners and future guests.
HEATING/COOLING THE HOUSE (Angler’s Rest)- occurs via thermostat on south living room wall.
HEATING THE GUEST CABIN (Angler’s Retreat)- occurs via the electric baseboard heaters. Each room has its own thermostat for custom comfort. To operate, turn the thermostat lever (located in each room nearby the light switch) to desired temperature. Close door to maintain desired temperature. Please turn down the heat, when leaving the house or not staying in a particular room..
When you leave for the day, be sure that all windows and doors are shut tight, as storms come up suddenly and will cause wind and water damage through open doors and windows!
When stocking the refrigerator for your stay, be sure to allow 3” for ventilation along refrigerator walls. Overstocking refrigerator will not allow for appropriate chilling. DO NOT LOWER SETTING ON REFRIGERATOR DIAL when refrigerator is full. This WILL NOT lower the temperature BUT WILL DAMAGE THE REFRIGERATOR, resulting in repairs that YOU WILL PAY FOR!
Please DO NOT move the furniture around. Doing so risks scratching the floors.
You are welcome to use any items in the refrigerator or cabinets, except those food supplies located in the freezer and the bottom pull-out drawer of the pantry cabinet nearest laundry room door- these belong to owners.
Unless it is an urgent situation, please refrain from using the owner’s tools, machinery, and personal possessions located in the garage and on the property. A call asking for permission to do so would be greatly appreciated.
• After using the BBQ, turn each dial to OFF position. If you fail to do this, you will empty the tank and will have to pay for the refill!
Keep Noise down after 10:00 pm.
Our new reclaimed heart pine flooring is like many other beautiful things- VERY SENSITIVE! Minimize wearing of shoes inside, particularly boots and other footwear that can track in rocks, sand and dirt. DO NOT move any furniture as doing so will scratch the wood flooring! Furthermore, DO NOT use ANY CLEANING PRODUCTS on the flooring. Rather, blot liquid spills with a cloth or paper towel and clean with a damp cloth of clean, COLD WATER. DO NOT use a broom on the flooring as doing so will scratch it! Rather, use the suction-only vacuum, located in the Master Bedroom closet, to clean up dry residue on the wood flooring. Failure to heed these instructions will result in VERY EXPENSIVE repair work!
Please limit the use of the garbage disposal. The red garbage bowl on the counter top should be used for initial disposing of garbage. Then, place garbage in plastic shopping bags (middle drawer to left of sink) and place in trash cans in garage. This keeps the septic tank from needing expensive pump-outs!
FISHERMAN/HUNTERS- before entering the house. The drying rack in the garage is especially provided for you to hang up your waders, boots, and clothing, etc.
During and After taking a shower in the Guest Bathroom (south side of house), run the vent fan and keep the door closed. Otherwise, the the smoke alarm will go off- very annoying! It will cease once the steam has cleared.
DO NOT attempt to set up the awning on the back deck. It is missing a key tool and attempting to set it up WILL damage it.
If you are having trouble operating something, *call.
• If something is broken or missing and is not so listed on the Inventory and/or Walk-thru Lists, *call. Failing to heed this instruction may result in you paying for the repair/replacement!
The house WIFI Network is ORBI6 Code is boldcar561
